Midweek groups are central to the life of the church.  They are the place where we make friends, share together and pursue what God has for our lives, our church, our town and beyond.

Groups meet weekly and include a time of worship, prayer, opportunity to reflect on the Sunday teaching and plenty of time for friendship and catching up.  Groups will often have social events, going out for meals together, to the pub or days out.

In a large church midweek groups help us to be included and cared for.  We encourage everyone to be part of a group, and to try and few before you decide on one you want to join.  You don't have to be a church member to be part of a group.  Group details change from time to time, for up to date info ask at the welcome desk on a Sunday or get in touch with the office.

"It's a place where I can feel safe and be confident to grow in spiritual gifts."

We value all the children and young people we meet and believe they all have a special part to play even whilst they are young.  As well as our Sunday morning kids and youth groups we let them take over the centre every Friday in term time so they can encounter Jesus with their friends.

Kidz Klub is a fun packed 90 minutes of games, singing, drama and bible teaching.  It's a place where all children between 5 and 11 years can have fun in a positive environment, feeling valued and accepted.

Kidz Klub is on every Friday in term time from 4.30 - 6pm

Impact is for youth from 11 years up to college age students.  Fridays at Impact are fun and usually silly but always about Jesus.  We worship together, listen to bible talks, pray in small groups and play sports and games.  We encourage our youth to get involved and love to hear them sharing what God has been doing in their lives.

Impact is on every Friday in term time from 7.30 - 10pm

We believe that God has called us beyond our immediate borders to serve and support our church family around the world.  We do this in a few different ways.  We take up offerings towards international relief work as crisis situations arise.  We have members of the church that seek short term mission opportunities to bless others and we have links with projects and people working overseas.

We currently have links with people or projects working in Peru, Kenya, Ukraine, Sweden and the Middle East.

We are the sending church of Lizzie White in Peru, working as an engineer to improve facilities and sharing Jesus with her new community.

BREAD, or British Eastern Aid Doorways, is a charity that we fully support who carry out humanitarian aid work in Ukraine and other parts of Eastern Europe.  We often run a tough physical event called the 'BREAD challenge' to get people involved in raising money.  BREAD have their own website here.

We have a wide variety of international connections through Christ Central Churches.

We believe prayer is the key which will unlock doors to the Kingdom of God coming in reality and power in our church, in our town and beyond.  God answers prayers, and the bible tells us in the book of Ephesians that God is able to do absolutely loads more than we can even imagine.

  • We want everyone to be part of the prayer life of the church and with that in mind we have a number of different opportunities to engage in prayer.
  • Midweek groups are a place to pray for one another both personally and to see God at work with other people in our lives.
  • The prayer army is made up of all sorts of people in the church who get regular email updates to pray about issues affecting the church, ministries, the local area and national issues.   To join email the office.
  • The prayer shield is a booklet with a daily prayer guide to cover the life of the church.  Contact the office for a copy.
  • On Sundays we have a prayer ministry team available.
  • We have prayer points every week in our notice sheet which we pray for together.

Everyone is welcome at our prayer meetings, they happen at the following times:

Thursday mornings from 6.30-7.30am

Sundays before the meeting from 9.30-9.45am

Sunday evenings 6.30-7pm

We host bi-monthly Saturday events for both Men and Women, and other activities.

Men's breakfasts are for the guys in the Church to get together for worship and teaching over a freshly prepared big breakfast.

Every other month on a Saturday is Tea and Testimony.  The ladies get together in the afternoon to enjoy sandwiches, tea and cake and to hear testimonies of how God is at work in our lives.

There are also social events for men such as a curry night twice a year.

We also host an annual men’s day and ladies day.

For further details of all of these please contact the office or see the Church diary.

We are committed to seeing everyone grow and keep on going on their journey and we want to see the whole of our church, individual lives and relationships shaped by Jesus.

There are a number of things that go on in the life of the church that enables us to do this.
