Barnabas Centre Facilities

Catering

We have full on site catering facilities which can cater for up to 250 people. We do a wide range of freshly prepared meals and buffets.

Some weeks, with coffee shop on a Tuesday, the Alpha Course on a Wednesday and other groups, we can serve over 500 meals in a week.

Getting Here

We have approximately 35 car parking spaces on site, including two clearly marked for disabled use. Local street parking is limited to 40 minutes during daytimes. There are Pay & Display car parks at Abbey Foregate, Wyle Cop & St Julian Friars, all of which are within 5 minutes walk of the Centre. We are a ten minute walk from Shrewsbury Railway Station and the Bus Station.

Equipment

We have flipcharts, whiteboards, over head projector, screens, display boards, data projector and laptop all available for hire. We can provide PA for the Main hall & Hulbert Room. We have a range of sports equipment, including uni hockey, netball & badminton.

We have over 30 folding tables of different sizes, 10 room dividers, a small moveable stage and over 400 chairs so whatever event you are putting on we should be able to resource it fully.

We have a photocopier that can be used for a small charge.

Toilets

There are 17 toilets in the Centre, including two which are full accessible. There are two unisex baby change cubicles.

Accessibility

The Barnabas Centre seeks to be fully accessible and we are working hard within the constraints of the building being over 100 years old. There is an access ramp at the entrance and two fully accessible toilets.

We have a hearing loop installed in the Main Hall & Hulbert Room. We have hosted meetings for Shopmobility Shrewsbury, Lip Reading Courses and other similar groups.

All the rooms are on the ground floor except for the Youth Lounge. We always seek to host groups downstairs if possible.
